All the Cheese Boards are made from ethically sourced, such as, sustainable Irish Beech which is a native Irish hardwood, which has been chosen for it’s durability and beautiful grain. All our timber comes from trees that have come to end of their natural life through having to be removed for safety reasons or are windfall. All the timber is kiln dried to ensure they are fully seasoned and therefore should not warp or crack in normal house conditions.
Our resins are 100% non toxic, food safe
Care - Wash boards and trays with warm soapy water and dry well. Never put in the dish washer as this will bleach and crack the timber. If using the boards for cutting it is advisable not to cut where there is resin as this will scratch the finish. As our boards are oiled with natural oils (never cellulose finishes), with use the wood will dry out. Recondition the wood with a food safe oil such as grapeseed or tung oil.
